JESSORE: A Juba League leader was shot to death by unidentified miscreants in the district town on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Shipon, 35, organizing secretary of the town Juba League and son of Nur Islam of Ghop Beltola.

Local sources said miscreants, riding motorbike, shot Shipon around 8:00pm while he was sitting at a dairy and fled the scene, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where on duty declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Emdadul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
