Remand pleas for Khoka rejected

DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday rejected the 10-day remand prayers for interrogating BNP Vice-Chairman Sadek Hossain Khoka in a case filed with Jatrabari thana.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh passed the order in a case of killing people by torching passenger vehicles using gun powder after hearing.

The court also asked the law enforcers to interrogate him at jail gate if necessary by five days.

In the same time, Khoka’s lawyer Sanaullah Mia also placed a bail plea.

On December 4 last, Khoka, also the convener of city BNP, was arrested from city’s Uttara area.

On December 5, a Dhaka court granted Khoka on a two-day remand in a case of Shahbagh Thana.
