DHAKA: Opposition leader Rowshan Ershad will visit the National Martyrs’ Memorial at Savar on Sunday to pay homage to the martyrs of the country’s war of independence during 1971.

Confirming the matter, Jatiya Party presidium member Tajul Islam Chowdhury MP told banglanews that this will be her first visit as an opposition leader.

Newly elected lawmakers and ministers from the party also will go with her.

Earlier, her scheduled visit to the National Martyrs’ Memorial on January 15 was postponed as she fell sick on the day.
