Govt to stop standing pupils on streets

DHAKA: The government on Monday directed the authorities concerned not to keep school students in queues in attending reception programmes.    

Primary and Mass Education Ministry issued a circular regarding the matter.

The notification reads that the government will take legal action against the Headmaster and the school managing committee if it notices the violation of the direction.      
 
The order came following mass criticism in various print and online media, including banglanews over the incidents.  

On the other hand, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid urged related concerned to stop use school students to greet any political person or government employee.  

Allude to school students were kept standing on the street to welcome lawmakers and ministers in many parts of the country after the Awami League government assumed at office.
