The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is all set to bring out a rally today in the capital to observe 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day', commemorating the 'civil-military uprising' of November 7, 1975.
The rally is scheduled to be brought out at 2:30pm from BNP's Nayapaltan central office.
Earlier on October 31, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, announced the schedule at a press conference at the party’s central office in Naya Paltan.
The rally is part of a 10-day program unveiled by BNP to observe the occasion.
On 7 November 1975, soldiers and civilians jointly freed the then Chief of Army Staff Ziaur Rahman from captivity in Dhaka Cantonment, paving the way for him to come to power.
