Police in a drive arrested a district Jubo League leader from his residence at Belgium Math of Latifpur Colony in Bogura's Sadar upazila on Saturday (November 30) morning.

SM Mainuddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bogura Sadar Police Station confirmed the matter to the media. 

Engineer Khairul Alam alias Lakhin, an active member of the Jubo league district unit, was arrested from his own residence today, OC said.  

Acting on a tip-off, the police team arrested Khairul, also a central committee president of Bangladesh Human Rights Association, after carrying out an operation at his residence in the area.

He will be sent to the court after reviewing cases filed against him, he added.
