DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader expressed his hope that after technical evaluation, the work order of Padma Bridge will be given on last part of June.    

He made the hope while addressing a press conference in capital’s Setu Bhaban (Bridge Building) conference room on Thursday.   

The Minister said that total five contracting institutions including World Bank’s pre-qualified Penta-ocean Construction Co Ltd, Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co Ltd, Padma RTC Joint Venture, Belgium Jan De Nul NV, Sinohydro Corporation Ltd submitted their tenders at 3:00pm Thursday. After evaluation the work order would be given on June.  

Quader reiterated that there is no illusion about the Padma Bridge construction or funding.
