BDR carnage trial was not fair

DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that the verdict of BDR killing cases was not appropriate.

He came up with the allegation to journalists after placing floral wreath at former president Ziaur Rahman’s grave on Tuesday noon at Chandrima Udyan in the city.

Mirza Fakhrul said that the relatives of the victims were not satisfied with the verdict as the government failed to find out the prime movers and ensure a fair trial.

During the time, Mirza Fakhrul demanded re-investigation and asked the government to ensure the punishment of those who were involved with BDR mutiny.
