Mahbub Uddin’s janazas held

DHAKA: The namaz-e-janazas of Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Uddin Ahmed were held at several places of the capital from Sunday morning.

First one was held at Supreme Court premises at 10:30am while second one in front of BNP central office in Naya Paltan at 11:30am  and third one at Baitul Mokarram national mosque at 1:35pm.

The BNP leader’s fourth and last namaz-e-janaza will be held at National Parliament’s South Plaza and later, he will be buried at Azimpur Gaveyard in city.

Khandaker Mahbub, who died Saturday night, was Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s former standing committee member and also an adviser to party chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Among others, Chief Justice Mohammad Mozammel Hossain, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam and BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir attended the janazas.
