No “legal” govt in country: Khaleda

DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday categorically said currently there is no “legal” government in the country.

“There is no legal government in the country at present as the incumbent government is illegal,” she said.

The former premier in the country came up with the observation while addressing a programme of marking 15 former footballers and sports personalities joining in the party at Gulshan political office in the night.

She said, “We need to build up our country unitedly. The BNP is working in line with the target and Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman started to achieve the goal.”

The former premier of the country also alleged that the incumbent government is destroying all the institutions. “They are giving up all the competent persons from appointing important posts,” she said.

Khaleda Zia alleged the government appointed incompetent persons to important positions which, is disastrous for the country.

Acting BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, adviser to the chairperson Dr Osman Faruq and former state minister for youth and sports affairs Fazlur Rahman were among others present on the occasion.
