PM visits Tungipara Monday

GOPALGANJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to visit Tungipara of the district on Monday on the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 94th birth anniversary and National Children’s Day-2014.

The premier will place floral wreaths at the grave of father of the nation, offer fateha there and join a munajat around 10:05am, a press release said on Sunday afternoon.

Jahangir Alam, APS-1 of the premier said the Prime Minister would join children’s convention and cultural program as chief guest at the Bangabandhu’s Mazar Complex in Tungipara.

He added later she would distribute stipend among poor and brilliant students.

In the afternoon, Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate a book fair organized by Jatiya Granthakendra.

Mizanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police of the district told banglanews that they took necessary steps for PM’s security.

Some 650 members of PGR, SSF, RAB, Police and other law-enforcing unit would carry out the duty to ensure premier’s security, he added.
