No child will be left illiterate

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina categorically said that no child will be left unfed and no one will be left illiterate.

The Premier said at a congregation program of children at the premises of the mosque of Bangabandhu Mausoleum Complex on Monday morning.

The event, organized on the occasion of the 95th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by the women and children affairs ministry, also featured discussion and cultural programs.

Every child will get a safer life and will not be killed as of August 15 tragedy, she added.

The premier further said, the government will introduce pre-primary education system. The government has already distributed 30 crores pieces of books free to the students of primary to SSC.

The government has also introduced stipends for 78.70 lakhs students in primary level, 40 lakh in secondary school level and 1.33 lakhs students in degree levels.

She also said that her government has been working to materialize the dreams of Bangabandhu so that the country can be an important nation on the planet.
