Upazila BNP leader expelled in Tangali

Tangali: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Monday night expelled a leader of Sadar upazila of the district for violating party discipline.

The expelled, Asgar Ali, vice president of Sadar upazila BNP unit, is set to contest as a rebel candidate against the party-supported chairmen runner, MA Hamid, in the upazila election scheduled to be held on March 31.

A party release signed by BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi were issued in this regard asking all leaders and activists to work for the  party-backed candidate.
