Voting at Muktagachha, Sripur Mar 27, 31

DHAKA: The voting at Sripur upazila in Gazipur district and Muktagacha of Mymensingh, postponed due to violence, will be held on March 27 and 31 respectively.

Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Election Commission (EC) SM Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said election in Sripur upazila was supposed to be held on March 15.  “But, we were completed to postpone the election as violence killed a person,” he said.

Besides, elections in three postponed centers at Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh district will be held on March 27.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nahid Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Voting was postponed at Goalia Government Primary School, Shaheed Muktijoddha Government Primary School and Tarati Teripara Government Primary School due to a clash between local Awami League and BNP activists, he added.
