Nasim slams TIB, Sujon

DHAKA: Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Thursday categorically said Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), Susasoner Jonno Nagorik (Sujon) and some vested quarters are demanding interim polls to bring unelected government.

The health minister came up with the observation in a press conference after a meeting of the 14-party alliance at political office of Awami League president at Dhanmondi in the noon.

Mohammed Nasim, also presidium member of the party, said they would talk to grass root level leaders and activists of the party in April to make people aware about this plotting.

He said, “We have observed that TIB, Sujon and some other vested groups have expressed their concern over why government is not arranging general elections. The government tried their best to bring BNP in elections but they didn’t come rather they committed to vandalism and arson.”

“It is very clear to us why they are showing their interest within six months of elections,” he added.
