Fakhrul again denied bail

DHAKA: A Dhaka court again rejected bail petition to BNP leaders acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in two cases filed for killing people by torching bus at Paribagh of the city and so on.

Judge Rezaul Karim of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court passed the order on completion of hearing on his bail petition on Thursday morning.

The court also granted temporary bail to him in another case.

On Tuesday, Fakhrul’s lawyer Joynul Abedin Mezbah filed the bail petition in three cases at the CMM court.

Earlier in the morning, Mirza Fakhrul was taken to the CMM court from Kashimpur jail for bail hearing.

On March 16, three BNP leaders including Fakhrul, who are now at Kashimpur Central Jail, surrendered before the chief metropolitan magistrate court and were sent to jail denying bail petition.

On March 23, the Dhaka District and session Judge Court denied bail petitions of the BNP leaders.
