DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader said “cut your coat according to your cloth” about 2014-15 fiscal year budget which was placed on Thursday at the parliament. 

He made the observation on Saturday while addressing a rally organized by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority to increase awareness to reduce road accident. 

Quader said government allocated enough budget for the communications sector considering its financial ability. Of the budget, metro rail project, Padma bridge and district roads were included. 

The minister mentioned the much used proverb ‘cut your coat according to your cloth’ to give an easy idea to people about government’s financial ability and expenditure limitation.

Quader said his ministry is working to stop corruptions, irregularities and ensure proper use of budget allocation in the communications sector. 

But he expressed his dissatisfaction over the allocation on district roads at that time.
