FENI: A Juba league activist was stabbed to death by some unidentified assailants in East Sultanpur area under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Zia, 25, an activist of Farhadnagar Union Juba League, the youth wing of ruling Awami League.

Locals said that following a previous enmity, former general secretary Momin locked into altercation with Zia around 10:30am. At one stage, Momin stabbed Zia with a knife, leaving him critically injured. 

Later, he died on the way to district Sadar Hospital.

Confirming the matter Sadar Thana Sub-Inspector Motahar Hossain told banglanews, “The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
