DHAKA: Mentioning political instability as a major obstacle for the development of Bangladesh, US Ambassador Dan W Mozena called upon two chiefs of Awami League and BNP to hold dialogues in resolving the problem.

The major two political parties have to discuss for a free, fair and credible election, he said, adding, they have to keep it in mind that political instability discourages foreign investment.

The envoy of United States of America came up with the plea while talking to journalists when he visited Akhawra land port on Tuesday.

The ambassador has already sent a letter to two Hasina and Khaleda in this regard.

Mozena said Brahmanbaria district is the economically important and it is rich of various natural resources.
