DHAKA: Jamaat-e-Islami called a 48-hour hartal from Wednesday morning protesting the Supreme Court verdict that sentenced Qauder Mollah to death for committing crimes against humanity.

Jamaat acting secretary general Rafiqul Islam Khan confirmed the matter through a statement on Tuesday noon.

Earlier on Monday, the party threatened to call hartal for Wednesday and Thursday if Supreme Court passed any verdict against Qauder Mollah.
