Shibir’s mayhem in capital

DHAKA: Chhatra Shibir activists vandalized several vehicles at Dhalpur of capital’s Jatrabari on Tuesday after the Appellate division sentenced Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah to death.

Sources said some Shibir activists brought out a sudden procession protesting the verdict and supporting hartal, and vandalized 5-6 vehicles in the area around 2:30pm.

Jatrabari Thana Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Jamaat-e-Islami called a 48-hour hartal from Wednesday morning protesting the Supreme Court verdict that sentenced Qauder Mollah to death for committing crimes against humanity.
