CHITTAGONG: A court here on Sunday issued an arrest warrant against Eastern Railway general manager (GM) Yusuf Ali Mridha and four others for their alleged involvement in much-talked-about railway money scam.

Chittagong Mahanagar Court Senior Special Judge S M Mujibur Rahaman issued the order.

Former Railway Minister Suranjit Sengupta’s Assistant Personal Secretary (APS) Omar Faruq Talukder and Eastern Railway general manager (GM) Yusuf Ali Mridha were fugitives in the case of railway money scandal.

On April 16, 2012, Awami League Leader Suranjit Sengupta resigned as the railways minister following the money scandal.
