FROM SUHARAWARDY UDYAN: Jatiyatabati Swechhasebak general secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu on Friday categorically said the Awami League government is illegal from now.

The leader of front organization of opposition BNP came up with the assertion while addressing rally organized by 18-party alliance at city’s Suhrawardy Udyan on Friday noon.

Sapu said, “The countrymen will not obey the directives of the illegal government and the country will outburst if there is any redundancy by Awami League.”

He added: “BNP along with people will resist any attempts of elections in the country without caretaker and Awami League will be taught how to face mass movement.”

Opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance started their rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital at 2:15pm.
