DHAKA: Ruling Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, special assistant to the prime minister, was sacked as per the desire of Sheikh Hasina.  

Public Administration Affairs Ministry issued an order in this regard on Sunday.

Sources said the contractual appointment of Hanif as special assistant to the prime minister was cancelled.

In this regard, Hanif told banglanews that he himself did not want to continue his service as special assistant to the premier.
