Son of Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, the chief editor of Bangladesh's only tabloid, Daily Manabzamin, and Mahbuba Chowdhury, another newspaper editor, Mehzeb is making strides in the industry.

Currently, he serves as an assistant professor at Northumbria University in the UK and has displayed a robust commitment to fostering equality, diversity, and inclusion across various sectors. The author, inventor, journalist, filmmaker, and researcher has been invited to the IAG to infuse his unique knowledge and perspective into the club's football agenda.

He has earlier been appointed to the Inclusion Advisory Board (IAB) at Northumberland Football Association, a leading grassroots football development and governance entity in England. His input in these capacities will provide vital insights to shape policies and initiatives promoting best practices and governance across both professional and grassroots football.

Mehzeb has been involved with football for a significant period. He has worked with popular football media outlets such as Gold.com, ESPN, Bleacher Report, and Vital Football. Engaged for the next three seasons, Mehzeb will collaborate with Newcastle United's staff, management, and fans on crucial projects.
