Team India firing in all cylinders drowned its archrival Pakistan in blue Ocean of Narendra Modi stadium winning big by 7 wickets. 

India rule over Pakistan in World Cup cricket got extended to 8-0. The huge terrace of the iconic stadium turned into an Ocean of blues chanting India, India with over 100,000 adoring cricket enthusiasts making it a festive atmosphere. But the contest promising to be mouth-watering turned out to a virtual one-sided affair. 

Pakistan proved unmatched with very strong all-round India. Put into bat Pakistan could manage well below par 191 all out in 42.5 Overs. India cruised over the target scoring 192/3 in only 30.3 overs making it a cake walk. Pakistan never won a match against India in the World cup meeting against them 8 times. 

It was another event of cricket when morning did not show the day. Pakistan opening with young Abdullah Shafique (20) and Imam ul Haq (36) was looking good till Mohammad Seraj trapped Shafique. Babar and Shafique also kept the momentum going for while Imam ul Haq was removed by Pandya. Pakistan looked like set for a sizeable score as Babar and Riswan were sailing comfortable silencing blue ocean of the terrace. The pair put together impressive 82 for the third wicket till Babar Azam just after scoring his first 50 against India was cleaned up Mohammad Seraj. The flood gate was opened. Soon afterwards Bumrah removed Rizwan scoring 49. Pakistan middle order and tail could not survive the highly skilled and penetrative all-round Indian bowling attack. Pakistan lost last 6 wickets for 36 runs only crumbling to 191 all out. The block buster contest lost all intensity. India bowled superbly as a team with Indian X-factor Jasprit Bumrah leading the way taking 2/19. Hardik Pandya (2/34), Kuldeep Yadab (2/35), Ravindra Jadeja (2/38) and Mohammad Seraj (2/50), the entire Indian bowling unit contributed to annihilating Pakistani pride.

Rollicking Rohit Sharma producing yet another sparkling innings of 86 in 63 deliveries featured with 6 fours and 6 sixes led the response from the front. Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 53 as India cake walked the target in only 30.3 overs. Winning three in three India continued its march towards business round of the tournament. Pakistan needs regrouping and reassessing what goes wrong when play against India in World Cup. Their miseries against the archrival got extended to 8. Pakistan lost 5 of its last 6 ODIs against India. Rohit had all his weapons ready in his arsenal against every Pakistani batsman. The 100,000 cheering fans did not have their money’s worth as the contest turned into a one sided affair.
