The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) camp ahead of the mini-auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 released ace-all-rounder Shakib al Hasan and wicket-keeper batter Litton Das were released from.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals also released Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman for the next edition.

Shakib and Litton represented the two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2023 edition of the tournament while Mustafizur was acquired by the franchise for a base price of Rs Two crores.

The mini-auction of IPL 2024 is scheduled to be held on December 19 and the trio still holds the prospect of being picked up from the auction.

Shakib, who went unpicked in 2022, was once again signed by KKR for the subsequent season. However, the seasoned all-rounder withdrew from the tournament without making any appearances due to personal reasons.

Wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das made his IPL debut with KKR in the 2023 season, featuring in a solitary match where he scored four runs and missed out on a stumping opportunity.

Mustafizur lackluster performance in the last edition of IPL where he secured just one wicket in two matches at an economy rate of 11.29 is supposed to be the reason behind no further participation in the tournament.
