Bangladesh at 132-6, trailing Sri Lanka by 148

Bangladesh's batting frailties continued as they were reduced to 132-6 at lunch on day two of the first cricket Test against Sri Lanka at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.

Taijul Islam who came as night watchman on previous day resisted lonely to remain not out on his career-best 41 at the first interval of the day with Mehidy Hasan Miraz on 2.

Taijul's perseverance was key in holding together the innings amid the
Bangladesh' top and middle order's failure.

Pacer Lahiru Kumara returned figures of 3-22 to give Sri Lanka the upper-hand in the match.

Resuming at 32-3, Taijul started the day with a four through point off pacer Kasun Rajitha but Sri Lanka took little time to strike.

Kumara dismissed Mahmudul Hasan Joy for 12, with a fuller, swinging delivery that took the outside edge of the batter.

Kumara's probing line and length got him the reward soon after when he removed Shahadat Hossain, who added 18, with an extra bounce, ending 30 runs between him and Taijul.

On the stroke of the lunch, Kumara got the wicket of Liton Das after
tormenting him repeatedly. Liton who scored 25 off 43 with four boundaries and added 41 runs with Taijul was bowled out after a fuller delivery of Kumara nipped back.

Pacer Vishwa Fernando couldn't add any wicket in this session as he finished with 2-238.
