BASIS signed MoU with BIJF

DHAKA: Country’s ever biggest IT exposition titled ‘Digital World 2014’ will kick off at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on June 4.                                                                     

Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) are jointly organizing the 4-day long gala event.                                                                    

In this regard, BASIS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF) at BASIS Board room recently.     

BIJF will play the role of organizing partner of the programme.       

Russell T Ahmed, chief project officer of ‘Digital World 2014’ and secretary general of BASIS and Ahmadul Hoq Bobby, president of BIJF signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organizations.              

The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by BASIS president Shameem Ahsan while Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology was present as chief guest.     

In the ‘Digital World 2014’ there will be a bunch of events running through these 4 days including: Softexpo, Mobile Innovation Expo, e-Governance expo, e-Commerce zone, Gamin zone, Business Matchmaking sessions, IT/BPO Forum, Developers Forum and Outsourcing Forum.                                

In addition to, there will be 30 seminars and more than 10 technical sessions where renowned speakers from home and abroad will speak including International Star Speakers of the IT world.
