DHAKA: Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has been rumoured and leaked multiple times but this is the first time the phone is seen in a complete, detailed hands-on video.

Quite reminds us of the time when the HTC One M8 hands-on video went viral before launch!, reports indiatimes.com.

The smartphone is the rugged, rough version of the ‘bandaid’ Samsung Galaxy S5 and there’s definitely not a lot Samsung has improved in the looks department.

The phone is nowhere much better looking than the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active though it does come in an improved, rugged version.

The buttons are still the same at the bottom and the removable back cover hasn't changed either.

While having a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active made sense as the S4 was neither water resistant nor dust-proof, we’re wondering as to what new GS5 Active will provide considering the flagship device is already rugged by itself.

According to the leaked video, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will come with a much better display and an AMOLED screen.

The display will be a fully HD display and will sport a 1080p resolution. The video also revealed benchmarks of the device and that Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2 GB RAM.

Unlike the S4 Active which was not very high on hardware and specs, The S5 Active will come with a 16MP snapper.

While the phone is definitely a top-notch device in terms of hardware, we are still hunting for that one factor which will set it apart from the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Unwater operations or perhaps extended under-water usage? Let’s wait for Samsung to reveal the mystery. It wouldn’t really make sense to have a device similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5, but just dubbed rugged.
