DHAKA: Bangladesh ended December 2014 with 43.64 million active internet subscribers, compared with 42.99 million internet subscribers at the end of November.

The mobile internet base reached 42.17 million, down from 41.51 million in November, according to figures from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The number of fixed-line internet users amounted to 1.23 million in December, almost flat compared with the previous month, while the number of Wimax subscribers reached 232,911 in December, down from 249,153 at end- November.
