GP Wi-Fi facilities for Green Line passengers

DHAKA: Country’s the largest telecommunication operator Grameephone (GP) will provide 3G internet facilities through Wi-Fi to the passengers of Green Line bus service on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka-Sylhet routes.

GP head of director (sales) Sajjad Alam and Green Line Paribahan general manager Mohammad Abdus Sattar jointly inaugurated the service in city’s Rajarbagh area on Saturday.

Green Line Paribahan proprietor Mohammad Alauddin and GP head of business (sales), among others, were also present at the inaugural ceremony.

A GP press release said that the telecommunication operator has taken the initiative, for the first time of its kind in the country, to provide internet facilities to the long-distant passengers.

Mohammad Alauddin said that the bus service will gradually provide internet facility to its passengers of all of its routes.

The release further said that the initiative is a part of GP programs in providing internet facilities to all.
