DHAKA: Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has cancelled licenses of 33 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) as they failed to renew their licenses.

A notification, signed by BTRC director of Legal and Licensing Division MA Taleb, was issued on Thursday.

The notification said the ISPs must apply for the renewal before the expiry date of their licenses.

BTRC directed the 33 ISPs to stop their operations declaring them illegal.

Besides, they were asked to pay their dues by next one month.
