DHAKA: LG Electronics announced that its next flagship smartphone, the V20, will be the first in the world to ship with the new version of Android, known as Nougat.

The LG V20, the successor to last year’s LG V10, will begin shipping in the third quarter loaded with Android 7.0, reports telecompaper.com.

LG said the device will take advantage of many of the features of Nougat, including Vulkan-supported graphics for more immersive gaming and better battery performance with the ‘Doze’ function.

The V20 also brings new productivity features such as Direct Reply, which lets users respond to text messages or update tasks using the notification interface.
