DHAKA: Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited (BTCL) has decided to change the phone numbers of 791 and 792 series under Uttara Telephone Exchange due to technical glitch. 

The existing phone numbers starting with 791 will be switched into 8-digit group starting with 4896. Last four digits will remain unchanged.

BTCL General Manager (Public Relations and Publications) Meer Mohammad Morshed confirmed the matter Monday (Feb 18). 
 
Similarly, the numbers starting with 792 will be switched into the group of 5508. The last four digits will be changed. 
 
The subscribers will be informed their new numbers while the changes are made, said BTCL sources. 

The subscribers also can call 01-550151412, 01-550151380, to know about the number change. 

They may also visit BTCL website (www.btcl.com.bd) to see the lists of their old and updated numbers.
