DHAKA: Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) decided to give back the recently reduced bandwidth to mobile operators Grameenphone and Robi. 

BTRC Chairman Md Jahurul Haque made the disclosure at a press briefing Wednesday (July 17).

The decision was taken after ICT Adviser to the prime minister Sajeeb Wazed Joy arbitrated into the matter, he said.

The bandwidth reduction causes problems to commoners, at times, he quoted Sajeeb Wazed.  

On July 4, BTRC reduced GP's internet bandwidth by 30 percent and Robi's internet bandwidth by 15 percent, reasoning due.
