Digital ICT Fair draws huge crowd on last day

DHAKA: The five-day Digital ICT Fair saw huge crowds on Monday (Oct 14) as latest digital devices lovers from all strata thronged the fair venue in capital city’s Panthapath area. 

Digital devices loving youths were seen roaming around the fair venue as the sale at the stalls increased significantly. 

The sellers struggled to manage huge number of visitors intending to buy different digital devices of their choices. 

Computer City Centre President and fair convener Toufiq Ahsan said that technology lovers in the country are waiting for such a fair featuring latest digital devices. There are new products for them alongside discounts and gifts at the fair. The fair witnesses its expected gathering since the beginning. Hopefully, this year's event has won everyone's mind.

The organizers said the fair has been organized to promote the widespread use of computer and information technology among people of all parts of the country and to build a digital Bangladesh.

Earlier, Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar on Thursday (October 10) inaugurated the fair at Computer City Center- Multiplan with the slogan "Go Digitally, Make Your Life hassle Free".

Over 746 shop owners and computer brands took part in the fair with special offers to attract people of all ages.
 
The fair featured art competition for children, cultural programmes, gaming zone and raffle draw. 

Acer, Dell, HP and Kaspersky are the Platinum sponsors and Asus, Lenovo and Adata are gold sponsors of the fair. Silver sponsor are TP-Link, and Dahua. Gaming partner of this fair is Gigabyte. 

The fair remained open for visitors from 10:00am to 9:00pm every day.
