Three dengue patients died and 250 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Friday (Nov 18).

In the 24 hours, 171 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 79 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,538 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,174 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 51,602 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 48,670 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 220 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
