Four dengue patients died and 606 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Monday (Nov 21).

In the 24 hours, 289 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 317 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,258 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,093 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 53,413 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 50,828 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 234 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
