Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), the Country's first Super Specialised Hospital has begun operations with indoor and operation activities.

While addressing the inauguration event at the conference hall of the hospital on Wednesday, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said, “Specialist physicians have already started seeing patients in the outpatient department of the super specialised hospital and indoor activities started today. A number of patients have already undergone surgeries and some patients have been admitted.”

 “Covid-19 pandemic caused some delay in full operation of the hospital due to lack of delivery of necessary equipment timely, but everything will be operational gradually. To this end, the recruitment is on,” he added.    

BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed presided over the event.
