Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute (BEHRI) provided free treatments among 700 underprivileged people in Kishorganj district on Tuesday (Oct 22). 

BEHRI, Vision Care Foundation, and Moinuddin-Muktaruddin Welfare Society jointly facilitated the day-long camp in districts Bajitpur upazila.

Bashundhara Eye Hospital’s Senior Consultant Dr. Saiful Islam including four doctors and six assistants provide this medical service throughout the day.

Of the 700 patients, 170 were selected for surgery due to cataracts, retinal canals and fleshy growths.

A meeting was held on this occasion, where Bajitpur Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Farashid bin Enam spoke.

Chairman of Moinuddin-Muktaruddin Welfare Society M Abdul Aziz and Bajitpur Government Degree College Principal (Acting) Tofazzal Hossain Badal and many others were present.
