Dengue: 28 hospitalised in Dhaka in last 24 hours

The country reported 28 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Thursday morning (May 19), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, the five new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, no dengue patient was identified outside the capital.

Some 234 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till May 19 while 206 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
