The country reported 69 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning (July 21), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

In the 24 hours, 52 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, seventeen dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 203 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 61 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 1,979 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 1,710 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, five died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till July 21 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
