Dengue: one dies, 90 hospitalised in last 24 hours

One people died of dengue fever and 90 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning (August 11), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

However, 17 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

The DGHS today issued a release on the country's Dengue situation.

According to DGHS, 290 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 74 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 3,498 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 3,118 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, 16 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in the country till August 11 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
