The country reported 237 fresh dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning (Aug 30), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 196 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 41 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 601 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 111 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 5,930 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 5,198 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, 20 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Dhaka till August 30 this year.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
