Two dengue patients died and 125 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Friday (Sep 23).

In the 24 hours, 92 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 33 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,174 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 340 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 13,000 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 11,436 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 50 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today. 

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
