One more dengue patient died and 240 people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Friday (Oct 07), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 192 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 48 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,725 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 557 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 19,523 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 17,177 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 64 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
