SYLHET: The suspended BDR mutiny trial of Sunamganj-8 rifle battalion began in Sylhet on Monday.

Formation of allegations against 14 BDR soldiers were worked out as the trial began at the Special Court-3 at BDR Sector Headquarters here with Director General of BDR Rafiqul Islam as the Chief Judge.

The members of the Sunamganj-8 BDR revolted in support of the BDR mutiny in their Dhaka headquarters at Pilkhana on February 25 and 26 last year.

The trial of the accused began on April 2 in Sylhet.
