Quota reform protests: RAB arrests 290 people

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 290 people from different parts of the country, including Dhaka, for their alleged involvement in the recent violence over quota reform protests.

The drive was conducted till Saturday morning, said ASP Imran Khan of the RAB headquarters media wing. 

He said some 24 people were arrested across the country in the last 24 hours, 8 of whom were arrested in Dhaka and 16 outside Dhaka.

He also said 290 people have been arrested so far across the country on charges of sabotage, violence, and arson. Of these, 71 were arrested in Dhaka and 219 outside Dhaka, he added.
