The closing parade of the 40th BCS (Police) batch supposed to be held at Bangladesh Police Academy, Rajshahi, on Sunday has been suspended. 

"The closing parade of the 40th BCS (Police) batch scheduled to be held on Sunday at Bangladesh Police Academy, Rajshahi, is not being held due to unavoidable reasons," the chief adviser's press wing said.

It is learned that the closing parade of the 40th BCS Police Cadre was scheduled to be held at the Police Academy today. However, in recent days, social media has been buzzing with criticism regarding the recruitment of 62 leaders and activists from the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) into the police force. These officers, who joined the Sarada Police Academy on December 4, 2022, are reportedly affiliated with the BCL, hailing from Gopalganj, and are connected to the Awami League. Allegations have surfaced claiming that many qualified candidates were overlooked due to their lack of political affiliation.
